Natural remedies for anxiety and panic attacks are a daily part of my life. Do you ever feel like you are milliseconds away from a panic attack? I think that’s just part of being an empath and feeling the pain of humans and animals around us. But how do we manage it so that we can continue to go out and make changes in the world?
That’s the million dollar question.
Below are four natural remedies that I pull from in my daily life. These usually help me calm my nerves enough to pull out of that extreme anxiety mode and move forward.

4 Natural Remedies for Anxiety and Panic Attacks:
1. VALOR ESSENTIAL OIL: Add 1-2 drops of Young Living’s Valor Blend to the inside of wrists. Rub wrists together and hold them near the nose while breathing in deeply. Do this for a few minutes until the anxiety or panic has calmed.
2. ETHICALLY SOURCED CRYSTALS: Choose a couple of our favorite crystals, or use a chakra set. Align crystals to the matching color chakra on our body. Lay back and breathe. Rest while the energy in our body balances itself. A detailed description of how I use crystals for anxiety and depression can be found here. An explanation of chakras is here. Crystals expert, Nicholas Pearson’s interview can be found here. A list of ethical crystal shops can be found here.
3. BOX BREATHING & GASSHO: Place palms together in a prayer position at the chest. Close eyes and breathe in deeply for a count of four, hold for four, breathe out slowly and steadily for four, and hold for four. Repeat until the panic or anxiety calms.
4. GUIDED MEDITATION: Probably the most well known. Use a guided meditation to calm our mind and body. For me, music and voice are pretty successful at doing this. Insight Timer is my go to tool for guided meditations. Here’s my favorite.
