So one of my favorite trips ever was to Costa Rica So one of my favorite trips ever was to Costa Rica a few years ago with Shawn and the kids. It was the first time that I tried planning a trip around animal and earth conscious activities. It was mostly a success, and I fell in love with the people we met, our hotel @sendamonteverde, #arenalcloudforest for hiking, Almendra for vegan food, and @rescuecentercr for animals. AND... GUESS WHAT?! The founder of Rescue Center Costa Rica is coming on the podcast next week! Vanessa is an incredible person who never stops working to help animals in need. And something somewhat unique about her sanctuary is that you can LIVE THERE temporarily and help! She is always looking for volunteers who are willing to come stay, learn and help. Obvi this is something on my dream list to do. 🙏🏻And I cannot wait to learn more about it from her. My favorite sweatshirt! This comfy guy came from My favorite sweatshirt! This comfy guy came from @fashionforconservation and was used in 2014 to help African elephants with the @africanwildlifefoundation. It was designed by Oscar Abbots, made and embroidered in Spain, and debuted at London Fashion Week. It’s made from 100% organic cotton. 🌱 I found FFC a few years ago and absolutely love following their work. The blog and insta feed are filled with educational pieces that you can digest easily. Check them out. And check out photographer @panosphotography who took this cute photo. She’s been doing an art challenge these past few weeks and sharing her creations on her feed. They are REALLY REALLY cool. I love seeing what she comes up with and resonate so much with the thoughts behind them. Enjoy! 😍

Then a few weeks ago, Cura Co. popped up in a Pinterest group that I’m in and I thought I recognized the name. 🤔 I dug up the episode notes and sure enough it was the same shop! Toys are so hard! What do you do with your old to Toys are so hard! What do you do with your old toys? I learned a new idea from Katie & Rachel in episode 19 of the podcast. They mentioned teaching their kids how to sell their old toys on Facebook marketplace. Such a brilliant way to get kids into the habit of being a piece of the second hand market. Another cool thing that I’ve seen is starting a community toy box in the neighborhood, where people drop of and take from it freely. In this post I put together 10 local places to donate. Hopefully it will spark a new idea. 💡
